Kissimmee Florida Spring Break Planning

Every kid longs to experience the Florida theme parks at least once. It's really a "bucket list" trip when it comes to family travel. When you are based in Kissimmee you have Walt Disney World Resort’s Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Universal Orlando Resort, SeaWorld Orlando, LEGOLAND Florida and Busch Gardens. Whew! That's a whole lot of action. Additional Kissimmee-based attractions include Fun Spot America’s pulsating rides for thrill seekers.

My family has taken some special trips down to Florida to escape the cold NYC winter. Our first family trip was to Walt Disney World Resort’s Magic Kingdom Park. Our girls needed to get their princess on! But we didn't stop there. Over the years we've explored many on the popular theme parks and have made Kissimmee our home base.

Some of our other favorite experiences near Kissimmee included seeing LEGOLAND Florida and Sea World. Sea World definitely stands out in my memories since I brought my mom along. Momtrends Tip: if you can make a trip to Florida a multi-generational one DO IT! It's 3x more fun with grandparents along.

Kissimmee is More than Theme Parks

There’s also plenty to experience outside the theme parks. Families can enjoy a colorful adventure at the Crayola Experience or visit Disney Springs for a couple games of bowling at the high-energy Splitsville and a transforming performance at Cirque Du Soleil La Nouba.

Kissimmee is a great place to update your family's style. Get deals at Kissimmee’s shopping, dining and entertainment center, The Loop and The Loop West. These locations offer more than 400,000-square-feet of retail options in pedestrian-friendly, open-air atmospheres. Outlet shopping is also available at Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores and Orlando Premium Outlets and more treasures can be discovered at boutiques along the downtown streets of Kissimmee, St. Cloud and Celebration. The Florida Mall and the Mall at Millenia, just minutes away, also offer a mix of familiar favorites and high-end shops. At Disney Springs® hundreds of shopping options await, from high-end designer fashions to the perfect keepsakes.
