Oh I feel sleepy. We're transitioning the girls to start sleeping together in one room and let's just say things are not going smoothly. To keep us on track we've got a trusty bedtime routine, and I'm happy to share it's a green routine.
First, we start with a bath. Now both girls get washed together. We often try out new samples in the tub and I'm really pleased with the Nature's Baby Organics. Their 100% Natural Shampoo and Body Wash - Vanilla Tangerinesmells so yummy and soft I could eat up my girls. Sure, bath time is fun, but I also worry about their skin. It's good to know Nature's Baby uses botanicals, essential oils and other organic ingredients. This So Cal brand suggests trying this on babes with eczema and other skin conditions, and I can attest is is non-drying. $12.63
Next step is getting the girls wrapped up in pajamas, giving them a story and tucked in. Now that the baby is busting our of swaddling. I'm opting for a safe Sleep Sack. These sacks replace loose blankets and reduce the risk of SIDS. Halo's design zips from the top (making diaper changes much less disruptive) and is constructed of 100% organically grown cotton. Pick from three patterns (my fav is shown the Dogs & Cats), expect to pay around $29.99.
My older daughter has a menagerie of animals around her bed. She feels comforted to curl up to something soft. We got two new items from Summer Infant's organic Safari Collection to test out. A hand's down winner (and new guest in her bed) is the Knit Elephant. Summer Infant introduced a full line of organic baby gear called Nature's Purest made from organic cotton and packaged in recylced materials. This collection is building on that terrific launch.
We'll hope all this helps us get some zzz's sometime soon.
