We love traveling to see friends and boy do we have some great friends in Chicago! On a recent marketing trip we were able to gather come of our blogging friends for a lunch at the Flagship American Girl store in Chicago. We gathered to see what's new in store and to celebrate friendship, the American Girl way.
We were so happy to meet up with friends from Alison and Susan from SoChic, Betsy and Kristen from LilStyleFile, folks we've admired for a while. We got to catch up with new friends like Jessica from StyleMeet Life, Agnes from Diaryofasahm, Bonnie from ChiilMom, Sarah from ToddlingAroundChicago--plus a real bonus--Susan from 5MinutesforMom was able to attend all the way from Vancouver. And the American Girl fun isn't just for moms, RaiJean took it all in for her goddaughter.
Before we headed to the pink and pretty American Girl Cafe to try the updated menu (try the chicken salad with pumpkin croutons!). We save Grace's pretty cafe and I got a minute to take a seat with the Girl of the Year. Since American Girl is all about celebrating healthy, positive, uplifting friends, it was only fitting to have our great blogging friends along with us.

One of my favorite spots on our tour was the Bitty Baby section. It's expanded now--toddlers can walk up and meet all the babies to bring home, Then they can select a top and even stop by the swaddling station.
Of course American Girl always has a strong tie to history. We loved seeing Mary Ellen--what a fun blast from the past. Her world was so spot on to the 1950s time period. Black and white tv and all!
Thanks to our blogging friends for joining us for the tour. Click here to find out more about the Chicago store here http://www.americangirl.com/retailstore/chicago and be sure to check in soon for more news from American Girl.
