Footwear is extremely important to urban moms. Moms like me trade the carpool for subways, buses and sidewalks. The way I see it, my footwear choices are almost as important as the car I drive and say much more about me as an individual and a mom. And so footwear is my weakness, I will stop in my tracks to gaze at the shoes in the Bergdorf window. My closet is a testament to my passion for shoes. Fashion week is the ultimate time for this mom to indulge in my passion. Check out where my Geox took me last week.
StyleList.com and Aol.com organized makeovers outside of the fashion week pavilion on the Upper West Side. I dashed in for a touch-up before my appointments. Though I was in 2+ inch heels, I was still able to race all over the city without slowing down thanks to the rubber soles on the wedge heel.
Meeting up with other fashion bloggers is a reward for keeping a hectic schedule. Kristin from BonBonRoseGirls.com and I lingered over a long lunch at Rouge Tomate as we talked trends and tots. The outfit du jour? Amelia suede boots with DKNY top, skinny AG micro cords and a glitzy necklace from LOFT.
After a long week of running around chasing trends, I was happy to slow down for a bit of pampering at the Downtime Spa courtesy of WomensMafia.com--a little neck massage was the perfect treat. The Amelia boots looked great with a Rag & Bone knit dress and leggings.
And let's not forget about our extremely fashionable event for expecting moms. Momtrends teamed up with Belly Dance Maternity and Biocell Labs to present a night of fashion and information. I paired the suede boots with a Ella Moss sheer top and Paige denim jeans.
In this series, I'??m wearing the incredible Amelia a wedge boot with a beautiful cuff and lace-up detail on the back. The upper is made of soft suede for a warm look and all day comfort. The lightweight rubber sole features Geox breathing technology. Plus the sole has a tread that is ideal for the nasty weather circumstances we'??ve had this year in NYC.
