Back in Nantucket for our annual vacation. While bold bright colors are the norm here (thing Lilly Pulitzer and Ralph Lauren), it takes this city girl a while to bust our the hot pink in turquoise. For the first day, I relied on some old favorites. Starting with a top and shorts (both from LOFT). Both purchased two years ago on sale. Rule of thumb, never buy anything at LOFT fullprice--they have the best sales if you are patient.
The hat is a souvenir from two years ago in Nantucket. I found it at a local beach shop and it is my go-to accessory while sunning. It gives great coverage and has that certain "cool" factor that I love. The sandals are three years old too--from a sale at the GAP. Not a huge investment of money or time in creating the outfit--it's all about the attitude here at the beach. The photo was taken at the glorious Bartlett's Farm--the best place for local produce on the island. Check out this one I found on eBay for $23.
