A few weeks ago we shared some of our favorite pieces from the brand new India-inspired clothing for kids from Tea Collection. Today, we're giving you a closer look at two outfits. In true Tea Collection fashion, our little citizens wore their India-inspired clothes on a recent trip to northern Japan. Not surprisingly, because it's the middle of the winter, the kids were covered in a bazillion layers throughout the day, but when they took off all the outerwear, the clothes shined.

Tea Collection Destination India - In Japan

Our home base for this trip was in the heart of Sapporo city on the island of Hokkaido. Our first morning there we took a bus to the smaller town of Otaru to explore. And by explore I mean walk carefully on snow-covered sidewalks while trying not to fall.

One of the attractions in town is a huge music box store filled with every single variety music box you can imagine. And, yes, there were even sushi music boxes.

After a morning of exploring we warmed up with some steaming bowls of ramen. Make no mistake, this authentic ramen is nothing like the dried stuff in packets you can find for 50 cents at the grocery store. The noodles are delicious, bowls are often topped with pork and vegetables and you can chose from a variety of broth flavors. This day the kids shared a pork ramen with soy broth. "Oishi!"

The big event of the day was a visit to the Sapporo Beer Garden for dinner. We had "yakiniku" which translates to "grilled meat" and literally means you get plates of raw meat and cook it yourself at a hot grill on your table. Max said "Cheers!" to a yummy dinner with a mug of apple juice.

Though the food was delicious, I think the kids' favorite part of the day was goofing off and hanging with their friends - and each other.

Adorable outfits aside, the coolest attraction we saw the entire weekend was the Star Wars display made from 3,500 tons of snow. At night there was a laser show with sound effects to add to the drama. Super cool.
