Nursery Accents

You've got to love a brand called Babylicious! I applaud Tina Barkely the Canadian mastermind behind these fresh designs. The have a full range of collections, since it's spring and I'm in the mood for flowers (see above). That's why I'm featuring the Bloom pattern. What I love about bloom is the ability to mix and match. They offer cool accessories that can liven up an otherwise drab space. To add a bit of sass to your girls' room pick up a terrific pillow ($26), or blossom spotted changing cover (also $26). Boys will love the zoo pattern. Have fun with adding these pieces with solids for a touch of pizazz.

I'm also excited about another import--Picci. This glorious Italian brand comes to us by way of Florence--home of beautiful craftsmanship and sumptuous fabrics. Picci offers cribs sets, toy bags, diaper stackers, blankets, pillows and more. For the ultimate baby luxury, I suggest the Picci Champagne Silk Bedding. The design is textured and rich; ideal for the traditionalist who longs for the very best. Ah, but luxury isn't free. The 4-piece bedding set (comforter, bumper, fitted sheet and dust ruffle) will run $900. Thank goodness they also make a fine 100% cotton line for 1/3 the price ($315). The cotton offerings lean towards more modern looks. I'm mad for the swirly twirly Hippy Balls print (see pic. left). Why not add a toy bag ($60) and a laundry hamper ($81) to your wish list?
