I ski in some VERY cold conditions. Vermont is not a place where you ski unprepared. I've come to value layers in my quest for winter happiness. That means great base layers under my ski pants and jacket, heated socks and then when it comes to my head, I love the Overeasy hood. They call it the Mountain HoodEs, it's a faux fur helmet-compatible layer. 

The hood has an adjustable face panel, and two drawcords that can snug up the hood around your helmet and face. The drawcords adjust the size of the hood while and the face panel.
