Happy Weekend! This weekend we were busy around NYC exploring the hottest brunch spots, events for the kids and keeping our style casual. Here are some of our highlights:

Krimson Klover Review

For weekend fashions, I kept it casual with the comfortable Peek a Boo Sweater from Krimson Klover. Since it is still cold here in NYC, the sweater was perfect to pair with jeans that features an airy and elegant linen. As a brand, Krimson Klover is built on a love of sweaters that also features products that are sexy, sophisticated and feel great! Personally, I love their styles are great for a classic weekend as well as something that can be dressed up. For even more style ideas, be sure to check them out on Twitter and Facebook.

Body Illusions by Avon.

Another favorite that I wore underneath is the Body Illusions by Avon. Made with nylon and spandex, this comfortable fabric helps to smooth and flatten the midsection, back bulge, tummy, hips, waist, and thighs. My favorite is the Seamless Smoothing Cami, a super comfortable that features a seamless construction as it slims the entire waistline and midsection. I also love the adjustable straps that makes this find an affordable answer to Spanex. Available through Avon Representatives. To locate an Avon Representative call 1-800-FOR-AVON or visit www.avon.com.

For brunch we enjoyed a delicious meal at egg restaurant. Located in Williamsburg, we enjoyed a farm-to-table meal complete with scrambled eggs and biscuits for the kids and a caramelized grapefruit with mint and organic eggs and grits and kale for me. We loved the simple and bright decor that filled the space with white walls and a farm-vibe (while still being in Brooklyn). We also loved the strong coffee and fresh-squeezed orange juice as well as having a set up of crayons and paper on the tables where the girls quickly got to drawing. For a laid-back vibe and delicious food, we loved the experience at egg and can't wait to go back for some more of their farm favorites.

International Film FEstival
Film Festival

As for kids events, we are loving the New York International Children’s Film Festival (NYICFF). Running now through March 30th, the 17th annual event will be presenting a wide array of films (and shorts) for all ages including a special preview screening of Muppets Most Wanted and Rio 2. Many of the films have been received by critical acclaim abroad and will be hosting their U.S. premieres during the festival. Other highlights include Annie, Aunt Hilda, Amazonia and much more! WE love this as a way to see kids' films that don't come to your local theatre as a way to expose your kids to interesting and innovative stories. Tickets available at: http://www.gkids.tv/intheaters.cfm

Charlie's Kid

Another favorite this weekend was taking in a show of Charlie's Kid at BAM. Based on Charlie Chaplin’s 1921 silent film The Kid (which will also be playing in our cinemas shortly after this show), the performance creates a beautiful, evocative silent environment for audiences who may never previously enjoyed Chaplin's funny, melancholic and deeply human stories. Charlie’s Kid, comes from one of the leading children’s theater companies in Stockholm—Pantomimteatern. The show’s two week run is a part of their BAMkids programming (ages 6—11) featuring elements of mime, mask, puppets, and projection. Running from Mar 23—Mar 30, 2014, all tickets are $12.
