The weekends are often busy, but this weekend my calendar was free on Saturday where we enjoyed brunch at egg (recap up soon) and simply being together. It was wonderful - especially since Sunday was going to be a whole different story.
Since it also means running around with the kids, I like to keep my style casual but still looking put together. Since I am at the early stages of my pregnancy, I have still been wearing my standard clothes, but with a growing belly I was super excited to test out Hipknoties, a versatile garment that can be styled in 30 ways! What I loved about it was that it was super easy to style as its clear bands works to flatter YOUR style and curves into a shape that you love. Even better, you have the choice in how you want to wear it - making it diverse to wear over leggings, as a tunic, a sheath, a halter, a one shoulder, a skirt, a wrap, a post-beach sarong and more! At $60 for one Hipknoties, this is a huge deal since you can get so many uses out of it. I wore it as a draping scarf that was perfect for my always-cold body.
As for my bag, I used the Culprit bag from JustFab.com. We are out of the diaper bag phase (for now), so I am enjoying the simplicity of a small bag on the weekend. I also love that it offers the option of a satchel that can be hand-held or worn on the shoulder. The colors are also stunning, yet simple with their mix of gray and faux leather that JustFab describes as "Preppy meets punk."
Weekend shoes are also about comfort and my new favorite is the Kayla shoe from Sanita. Started in 1907 in Herning, Denmark, Sanita is renowned in the European market for their incredible craftsmanship and high quality shoes. In 2001, they started their US division where they now offer a diverse selection of handcrafted and beautiful clogs. They have also been awarded the acceptance by the American Podiatric Medical Association for their Original stapled outsole which provides all day comfort for women on the go. Personally, I loved how they felt so comfortable and gentle they are on my feet. They also have a diverse and stylish selection of clogs and sandals that we can't wait to wear this summer!
Weekend style can be simple but still fun. Hopefully I'll be adding some color and prints to my wardrobe as the weather gets warmer!
