Who needs a break? I know I have both hands raised. We're going to talk about weekend getaway essentials today. You've been working hard all year right? I bet you're ready for some R&R. Even if you can't escape for an extended vacay this summer, I bet you can sneak away for the weekend.
Every once and a while, the hubs and I try to get away for a night or two. We book a hotel and just relax. Being that we live in Florida, a lot of our favorite spots are on the beach, but if you aren't in close enough proximity to a beach, you could easily plan your weekend away at a hotel with a fabulous pool. Sunnies are a must! Not only do they protect your eyes from the sun's wicked rays, but they cover those tired peepers us mamas so often have. An oversized pair looks just fabulous and is much better at shielding the delicate skin around your eyes. Be gone crows feet!
I also like to pack an oversized tote bag...preferably one that can get wet. I shove everything from glossies, to a tablet, sunscreen and even a snack or two inside. It's the mom in me. I always like to be over prepared, hence my collection of large and in charge bags. Haha! Plus, if your bag is big enough, it will fit my other essentials, a coverup, sandals and maxi dress. Go chic enough with the sandals and maxi and you can go seamlessly from the beach or pool to dinner and drinks with your honey!
So, what are some of your weekend getaway essentials lovelies?
