Valentine's day party ideas for your family! You are never too old to celebrate Valentine's Day - all ages love the day to spread love. Sure, sending flowers and a card is a great way to show how you feel, but a special party for your kids can also be a lot of fun. This year, my 8-year-old daughter and I are hosting a Valentines Day soiree and we are sharing all the planning details with you.

Valentine's Day Party Invitations

Get started by creating a guest list. Keep it intimate with only best friends being invited. Then make each guest feel extra special by presenting them with a hand-delivered box invitation. We created our own using a heart-shaped paper craft box and embellished it with Valentine's décor. Each box was lined with a hand-made note: All You Need is Love! Valentine's Day Party February 14th 5:00pm.

Valentine's Day Party Decorations

Captivate your guests with a beautifully designed table and leave no detail behind. We used Wilton heart-shaped paper placemats, festive IKEA plates, antique colored glasses and red heart-shaped photo frames for cheerful name place cards. The centerpiece, Tree of Love, is a collection of real branches sprayed white and decorated with ivory hearts. Each heart expresses the love in our guest's life.

Valentine's Party Ideas for Your Guests

Guests will delight in Hugs & Kisses Donut Decorating. Pre-make the donuts using a donut pan and eclair pan. Cut the eclair pieces to shape an X and connect together. Use pink, red and white cookie icing, red and white sprinkles for decorations.

Goody Bag Ideas for you Valentine's Day

Guests departed with a goody bag filled with IKEA Valentine's baking utensils, heart-shaped mold and an apron.
