Valentine's day party ideas for your family! You are never too old to celebrate Valentine's Day - all ages love the day to spread love. Sure, sending flowers and a card is a great way to show how you feel, but a special party for your kids can also be a lot of fun. This year, my 8-year-old daughter and I are hosting a Valentines Day soiree and we are sharing all the planning details with you.

Valentine's Day Party Invitations

Get started by creating a guest list. Keep it intimate with only best friends being invited. Then make each guest feel extra special by presenting them with a hand-delivered box invitation. We created our own using a heart-shaped paper craft box and embellished it with Valentine's décor. Each box was lined with a hand-made note: All You Need is Love! Valentine's Day Party February 14th 5:00pm.

Valentine's Day Party Decorations

Captivate your guests with a beautifully designed table and leave no detail behind. We used Wilton heart-shaped paper placemats, festive IKEA plates, antique colored glasses and red heart-shaped photo frames for cheerful name place cards. The centerpiece, Tree of Love, is a collection of real branches sprayed white and decorated with ivory hearts. Each heart expresses the love in our guest's life.

Guests will delight in Hugs & Kisses Donut Decorating. Pre-make the donuts using a donut pan and eclair pan. Cut the eclair pieces to shape an X and connect together. Use pink, red and white cookie icing, red and white sprinkles for decorations.
