Underwear Update for the Kids

Time to load up on the basics for the kiddos. Last year I did a thorough roundup of toddler underwear on Babble.com and I want to share my favorites.

Founded in Amsterdam in 1994, Claesen's is now the best-selling underwear brand in Holland for men, women, children, and babies. And I don't want to let the American parents miss out. The philosophy behind the styling is "like mother, like daughter; like father, like son." Kids love the wedgie-free, second-skin fit with top-quality mercerized cottons and cotton-lycra fabrics, trademarked patterns, and durable flat-lock seaming. Moms love the style and the fact that they can be washed and washed and washed and will look terrific. These undies are the very best I found after sorting through piles of samples.

For fall I like the Claesen's Boxer Briefs(see above). Amazon sells a 2-Pack for $21. Pricey yes, but worth it. For girls, I like the Hearts Pink and Gray Cami and Boxer ($25).

I know, I know a little pricey. So my "best value" pick is the Fruit of the Loom Dora Toddler Prints. These come in sizes 2T-4T and start at $5. Boys will love the Marvel Heroes Boys Briefs $8.95--sizes 2-7. Take my word for it, if you are trying to potty train before school starts using a zippy set of undies.
