As a mama of three littles, I cherish the celebration of each and every milestone. While I loved the magic of the first birthday, truth be told, I loved their second birthdays even more! Maybe it is the sheer joy they seem to get out of their birthday~the attention, the singing, the gifts, it all seems to make sense when they hit that two year mark.
I have rounded up some of my favorite gifts for twos just in time to watch my littlest one go from baby to toddlerhood with the swift blow of a (or two) candle (s). Of course, you need to start off with the right party attire. I love the sweetness of this tutu-bottomed whimsical dress from Le Top. The matching tulle laden cuffs really one me over. and since my lil two is all about the whirl, this dress is a winner (plus big sister got the matching dress which made the day special for all).
Our favorite vehicle now that we are the big TWO is definitely the 4 in 1 trike. This EZ Fold Stroll 'N Trike™ is designed to fold in one easy step so you can store or take it anywhere. With plenty of storage for mom and child, you can be sure to have what you need wherever you go. It also features an adult Steer & Stroll™ adjustable push handle, removable canopy, quiet ride tires, foot brake and a foot rest for the ultimate ride.
Another crowd pleaser was this cake emblazoned tee from Gymboree. It is spunky and cheerful and the dancing cat with a party hat just kills me.
and even at two, it is all about the shoes! Love, love, love Pediped. The styles are sweet, the fit is comfortable and structured, and the quality is evident.
These little patent tipped Naomi maryjanes are party perfect and easy on and off for Miss Independent can happily "do it myself".
We have long been a fan of Lakeshore Learning. I am always thrilled with a gift that is educational and fun.
These sorting boards are perfect for little fingers and curious minds. Our toddler is drawn to the easy to pick up shapes and enjoys celebrating getting the shapes in the pegs! and the color pegs have solidified her color recognition in no time!
How to Celebrate Adoptive Parents
I recently learned that a friend who had been patiently awaiting a child became a parent practically overnight. When I heard about this loving couple bringing home their first baby, it really got me thinking about how to celebrate adoptive parents. We have experience with ...read more
Spiked Apple Cider Pops
September in the South is, in my opinion, still summer. The eighties and nineties always prevail and make the traditional fall flavors that I crave so much slightly out of reach. As much as I want to relax and sip on some hot cider, at the moment, I still need something iced. ...read more
Japan Adventure Park Hyatt Hotel Niseko

Another favorite is the community puzzle soft blocks~so many skills involved: color sorting, attributes, and grouping similar objects. Plus everyone knows knocking blocks down is as fun as building up!
I love nesting blocks and still have mine from my own childhood. Sweet Bee is in love with these "read to me" nesting blocks from eeboo. Never too early to start the journey of literacy. We love to spend time reading, naming the objects, and counting the blocks.
She enjoys stacking them high, knocking them down, and loves to "clean up" and nest each block into another. (I love that they store so easily and when they crash (as they often do) they do not make a startling sound).
Also from eeboo is this cuddly, colorful soft Noisy Ball. It is easy for little hands to throw, catch and roll.
With two comes a love for all things writing, drawing, coloring, and what better way than with this awesome easel from B. (B. Easel does it.) When Grammy & Papa brought this over, there was a mad dash to use it which continues day in and day out. (I love the storage baskets build in underneath!) It is the perfect height for a toddler, has both chalk and white boards and has two clips to hang paper, projects or favorite pictures.
Speaking of art supplies, I love the idea of turning my diaper supply caddy into an all things art & crafts holder! The caddy from B. Box is modern and sleek and holds all the essentials in a neat & tidy way~from diapers to doodles~FAB!
And now that baby girl is growing up, we are learning to use the potty. Prince Lionheart's POD is easy to clean, store and even take with us on the go. Comfort and convenience are key when potty training!
Happy Birthday Sweet Little Bee. What are your favorite gift ideas for twos?
