We also love this Thanksgiving table from Ask Anna - especially her "What I Am Thankful For" napkins.

Appetizers and Appetizer Tools:

To serve your appetizer, we love the Soapstone Oven-to-Table Entertainment Plate with Wooden Tray from Sparq. Hand-crafted in the USA and made from recycled soapstone, we love the sophisticated design of this plate that combines the warmth of an ash wood tray with the sleek design of its soapstone inset. It also has cool benefits from the soapstone properties where it can be heated or chilled to maintain food at the perfect temperatures. The plate can go from oven to table or freezer to table in minutes as the wooden tray makes it easy to handle.

Chex Mix is a classic snack and for the holidays we love their recipes like Sugar Cookie, Pumpkin Pie Crunch and Mexican Hot Chocolate recipes to get your party started with some sweet and savory bites.

A fun spread that your guests will love is the Smoky Salmon Spread from Alaska Seafood. They also boost tons of recipes for soups, main dishes and sides that will add something different to your Thanksgiving menu.

Have you ever had popcorn that tasted like Thanksgiving dinner? We are thinking no, so this new food from makes for an interesting app where you will find nine flavors of popcorn to give you every taste of a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner. Flavors include: turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie, sweet potatoes, apple pie, pumpkin pie and strawberry cheesecake where your guests will sample an appetizer that they will never forget.

For a healthy-ish kid snack, we like to serve yogurt parfaits. One of our favorite new varieties for the season is YoCrunch’s Apple Pie Parfait and brand new Pumpkin Pie Parfait. We are really digging the Pumpkin Pie Parfait where you will find real pieces of crumbly graham cracker pie crust to mix in with fat free vanilla yogurt over a layer of authentic pumpkin puree with a hint of cinnamon! Delish for Thanksgiving or the next day when you will likely still be pretty full!

Thanksgiving Day Wine

Wine and Wine Tools:

For Thanksgiving we recommend some wines from Masi Agricola, a premier Venetian producer of fine wines from the Northeastern region of Italy. Some of our favorites are the Campofiorin, Masianco Pinot Grigio ($17.95), a wine that blends Pinot Grigio and Verduzzo grapes and the Costasera Amarone ($70.00), a high quality Amarone that is sophisticated enough for the wine-knowledgeable, yet palatable and versatile enough to pair with any menu.

A fun way to mix decor with your wine is by using Drink Dotz and Wine Wraps. Sold together as a set, WineWrapps and DrinkDotz comes in a variety of attractive designs that designate guests’ glasses so everyone can keep track of their drink throughout the night. WineWrapps andDrinkDotz are also reusable, interchangeable and come ready to use, 12 of each to a pack.

One of our favorite ways to keep our white wine chilled is with Wine Pearls from Sparq. These insanely chic and sleek designed stainless steel wine pearls keep wine and cocktails chilled until the last drop. Simply freeze and pop them into a glass of wine or favorite cocktail. These sophisticated wine pearls keep glasses of wine and red wine, as well as specialty drinks like martinis and cosmopolitans, chilled to the optimal drinking temperature to bring out the very best in your drink. Give your drink an elegant look with a cooling result.

For Thanksgiving this year we are excited about Le Papier Studio where you can find cool decor ideas like their exquisite silhouette artistry that features tradition with a twist. For Thanksgiving, we love their chic coasters and paperweights to keep everything organized, and looking oh-so-chic.

Hostess gifts:

We love VinEdge, a brand new sleek and innovative, no-pump wine preserver that allows wine enthusiasts to savor their favorite bottles. All you have to do is insert the no-mess wine spout and disposable Vin-sert tube into any open bottle. As the wine is poured, the tube will begin to inflate and create a vacuum suction that reduces oxidation and allows the last glass to be as flavorful as the first. For a novice wine enthusiast, VinEdge allows them to pour, preserve and enjoy.

Those that are cooking (or bringing something) will love the new book Pies and Tarts with Heart by Denise Balcavage. Some of our favorites are the classics like Apple Pie, Pumpkin Pie, Key Lime Pie, Fluffernutter Pie, and unique options like the Booze-Infused Mushroom-Polenta Pie North-African Inspired Kale Pi. Interesting Dessert Ideas:

While we love the pies and cakes, we just discovered some interesting new dessert ideas from Alina Eisenhauer, Owner and Executive Chef at Sweet Kitchen & Bar in Worcester, MA. Not your traditional chef, Alina serves baked goods by day, and gourmet desserts and savory bites paired with wine, beer and cocktails in the evening. For the holidays, she suggests making the Apple Pie (recipe below) in a Glass and the Belgian Ale Poached Pears for a dessert your guests are sure to remember.

Apple Pie in a Glass- Alina Eisenhauer

  • 1 Pie Crust (unbaked, homemade or store bought)
  • 2 Granny Smith or Empire Apples
  • 1 tablespoon Unsalted Butter
  • Cinnamon Sugar
  • Granulated Sugar
  • Whipped Cream or Ice Cream (for garnish)
  • Wine or Martini Glasses (for serving)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F

If using homemade pie crust roll out as if you were going to place it in a pie tin but instead place it on a parchment lined baking sheet (if using store bought unroll and place on baking sheet), sprinkle generously with granulated sugar. Bake until light golden brown. Remove from oven and cool.

Peel and thinly slice the apples as if for pie, toss with cinnamon sugar to taste. Melt the unsalted butter in a heavy bottomed skillet and add the apples. Sautee apples on medium heat until they are soft and cooked through but still retain their shape.

Break the pie crust into pieces, reserving a few nice big pieces for garnish. Place a layer of pie crust in the bottom of your glasses followed by a layer of apples and repeat ending with apples. Take the large pieces of crust that were saved for garnish and position them sticking out of the top layer of apples, add a dollop of whipped cream or ice cream.

Post Turkey Fun:

After the eating adventures stops, gather the family around and enjoy a movie on the Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 2000 2D/3D 1080p 3LCD Projector. We love the super crisp quality of projector where you can watch movies on virtually any wall or screen! The light and color quality is also incredible where you can enjoy 3x Brighter Colors and white light brightness. They also offer the AtmosCheerFX DVDs where you can get a start on your holiday digital decorating.
