Spring Cleaning

We dread spring cleaning, but it is one of those things that once it's done we feel so much better about my space. It allows us to get rid of old items and clear out messes that may have been disorganized. With a plan for a cleaner and more organized 2014, here are a few of our favorites.

1. Green Cleaning Tools. For tackling life's messes, we love the collection of  100% natural, 100% green, 100% safe and 100% biodegradable products from Shaklee (http://themuskopfs.myshaklee.com/us/en/about_healthy-home.html). This includes their Get Clean Starter Kit that is designed to improve health, work without compromise, and be gentle on the planet. Some of our favorites are the Basic H2® Organic Super Cleaning Concentrate, the Germ Off Disinfecting Wipes and the Dish Wash Concentrate - all of which includes no harmful fumes or hazardous chemicals.

2. Organization Tools. As for organization, we love the company Great Useful Stuff. As a boutique online retailer, you can find an incredible collection of products that focus on simplicity and organization. This ranges from products for the home, office, bathroom, travel, closest and for entertaining. As busy parents and business women, we love how this allows us to store our many items neatly such as with the Multi Charging Station, or our favorite the Bamboo Hair Styling Station. This all-in-one unit is a great way to hold all of your hair drying essentials thanks to its ample room that can hold three electrical hair stylers (blow-dryer, curling iron, flat iron, etc.). This is great way to keep wires (and its many devices) in tact while also showcasing a chic and fun 100% eco-friendly bamboo. This also includes stainless steel lined compartments that will look great on any countertop. Perfect for any moms seeking organization this spring.

3. Meal Planning Organization: Organization and cleaning isn't just about our home, but it can also be about our personal day-to-day. One tool that has been keeping us on track is the new Meal Plannerfrom Kahootie Co. Through this bright and informative book, you can save time by planning your weekly meals and shopping plan. I love this as a way to organize what I am going to make over the course of the week on Sunday. This includes a way to plan meals for a year, a weekly grocery list, recipe pages. price tracker pages and a place to track Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner ideas.

4. Oil Pulling: A trend that is growing in popularity is oil pulling. This ancient practice of swishing a tablespoon of coconut oil such as with Kelapo Coconut Oil (http://coconutoilcooking.com/)in your mouth for up to 20 minutes to pull all the toxins and bacteria out of your gums, tongue and throat. This is believed to absorb toxins, and usually ends up turning thick and white.
