love to dream swaddles

Momtrends attended a very intimate lunch last week to celebrate Love To Dream swaddles launching in the US marketplace. The Love to Dream swaddles are the only swaddle on the world market that enables babies to sleep in a more natural position with their arms up. Love To Dream was established by Sydney-based Hana-Lia Krawchuk, whose background in fashion design gave her the perfect springboard into the industry. After many months of sleepless nights with her first child, Krawchuk started researching medical literature on why babies slept better with their arms up and then began working on a swaddle design that answered all of her baby’s requirements…. and the Love To Swaddle UP was born.

Research shows that swaddling babies in a way that allows access to their hands is a safer and more natural way to swaddle. The swaddles’ healthy hip design, featuring a wide-bottomed sack, allows babies to sleep in the correct hip and leg position. This unique design allows babies to access their hands in order to self-soothe, helping them to quickly settle and establish an easy, peaceful sleep routine.

All items in the Love To Dream line are developed in consultation with various childcare health experts, following the SIDS and KIDS safe sleep guidelines and approved by INPAA (Infant and Nursery Product Association of Australia), the Love To Swaddle UP is one of the safest swaddles in the world because babies are swaddled right every time. They sleep better, and parents get a chance to enjoy better sleep quality as well.

I have to say this swaddle might just be the game changer coming to the market today. There is no other swaddle like it! For more information visit www.lovetodream.com.au

playtime new york

Each season, artists and designers participate showing their collections at Playtime New York. This year the event was held in an iconic building downtown on Wall Street. Playtime New York is a trade-only NY Event that features 120 exhibitors showing their offerings in all categories of children’s items. Some maternity wear is also offered. This Event gives buyers an opportunity to explore emerging trends. Playtime New York is a chance for buyers to save a lot of time by seeing much of what they may need for the coming seasons in one place.

Some newcomers and favorites this season were Noe & Zoe. Noe & Zoe is a line from Berlin. Noé & Zoë create an entire universe for children and dedicate every piece to the endless imagination of children. The affinity for timeless patterns, unique prints, strong colours and simple, comfortable cuts makes each collection special of clothing, accessories and blankets.

Jess Brown continues to wow us with her adorable dolls styled in gorgeous frocks. Each doll is hand dyed in persian black teas to create variations in skin tones and is stuffed with a sustainable corn fiber. They are all made of cotton muslin and linen, and of primarily recycled and antique fabrics and findings. Jess Brown rag dolls are available in select shops around the world and are custom made.

Twiggy and Lou offers the most dainty little accessories for children. From necklaces, bracelets, to garland each piece is handmade and intricate. Sandrine, the designer realizes that just a tiny, subtle, airy thing can change the way you are feeling about your favorite space is the beginning of a new adventure. It's amazing how just a strand of pinks and golds can brighten up a room.

origami owl

Momtrends went to the sweetest event last week for Origami Owl. Origami Owl is a custom jewelry line that allows you to create your own locket by selecting precious little charms that tell a story about you. The whimsical Charms are arranged in the clear glass Lockets and customized Plates with words such as “dream” “love” and “family” can be included to add depth to each story.

From customers who tell their own dreams through jewelry, to Independent Designers who have achieved financial freedom by selling Origami Owl’s custom creations, people of all backgrounds are impacted by this company. In 2011, the young designer and entrepreneur decided to take a unique approach: social selling with heart. Origami Owl Custom Jewelry is now a business that helps women of all ages achieve their dreams.

I had a chance to make my own locket necklace, and have to say it was so much fun to do! I first thought about what I wanted my necklace to represent which was an easy decision for me, my children. I chose all three of their birthstones along with the word "love" and mini diamond hearts. I haven't taken it off since and no matter where I go someone is always asking me about it!

Momtrends was not compensated for post.
