While I may still be in denial that summer is coming to a close, I have to say I am looking forward to transitioning my wardrobe. Fall is my most favorite season when it comes to fashion. I love being able to still wear some of the summer pieces while layering with sweaters, oversized shawls, even booties. I found the perfect dress for this season from Free People that I know will carry me way into the fall months. This sand pointelle knit jacquard drop waist dress has a ruffle skirt and an upper back cutout. Right now, with temps still in the eighties I am wearing it as is, but once it starts to get chilly, I plan to pair it with booties, a cardigan, and even stockings.
I paired my Free People dress with a hand embroidered turquoise statement necklace from Zara. Since the dress is a neutral tone, I am finding I can pair it with an array of colors that work.
Lace up shoes are still a trend for fall, so I chose my favorite summer open toe pair from H&M. I do plan to pair it with a ballet lace up in the coming months to really transition the look.
Would love to hear how you are transitioning your fall wardrobe. Happy Labor Day!
