Marimekko Fabrics

It not news that the the Nordic region is producing some of the most exciting modern designs. Momtrends is nuts about Marimekko cotton fabrics. These bright and eye-popping prints are dreamed up in Finland and are known for their dramatic, yet light-hearted prints. Use them as window treatments or as bedding--paired with simple white walls the look is exceptional. I've picked a few uni-sex prints as well as one of the iconic blown-up florals to show off the versatility of the line.
Expect to pay anywhere from $35-$50 per yard. The fabrics are 100% cotton and measure 56" (142 cm) wide. Online the best resource for fabrics is AlwaysMod.com. (I'm fortunate to have a Marimekko store in NYC, www.kiitosmarimekko.com 1262 Third Avenue)
