Curated Collection on Joss & Main

We are always looking for new and interesting decor ideas. One of our favorite sites to find new ideas is Joss & Main and their recent collaboration with Molly Mesnick. Momtrends had the chance to chat with Molly about her entertaining style, decorating style and life with a new baby. As a mom to new mom to one-year old, Riley, Molly’s “Live, Play, Love” collection is calm and cozy, practical and baby friendly, with a dose of sophisticated glamour. The collection is perfectly in-tune with Molly’s style and life in Seattle, and very relatable for women and new moms. Check out more about the collection, which launches today.

Momtrends: How would you describe your décor style?

Molly Mesnick: Modern, Clean, and Crisp! I love light and airy spaces (lots of white, light greys, and tans - with a pop of color here and there!)

Momtrends: Do you have a place in your home that’s adults-only? Or is everything free reign?

Molly Mesnick: Every room is free reign in our house, however, there are a few rooms that the kids don't go in, simply because there aren't toys or a TV in them. They naturally choose to be in the rooms where there is some form of entertainment for them!

Momtrends: What’s your favorite way to spend a night in?

Planning Snack Sized Fall Family Adventures

Fall is simply the best time of year for family adventures. When you live in New England, nature simply beckons you outdoors. Life was simpler when the girls were little, we had wide open calendars and outdoor adventures were easier to execute. But now with school plays, cross ...read more

Molly Mesnick: I love nothing more than getting in my sweats, pouring a glass of wine, and sitting down to watch a movie with Jason. Rarely do we have those quiet moments for the two of us anymore since our lives revolve around the kids. Once in a while, however, Ty will be with his mom, Riley will go to bed early and we can get comfortable in the family room, cozy up on the couch and just relax! I live for those moments!

Momtrends: What’s your entertaining style?

Molly Mesnick: My number one rule when throwing a party is making sure the guest is comfortable. I try to think of every possible detail so that no one feels uncomfortable and everyone can just sit and enjoy. If we have new friends coming over, I'm sure to throw up a cute sign that points out where the bathroom is. There are always cocktails ready and waiting when our guests walk in the door. I also Iike to have a theme to all of my gatherings, so the food and drinks will follow along with that theme!

Momtrends: What’s your favorite room at home? Why?

Molly Mesnick: I love, love, love our formal living room. I use the term "formal" lightly, because the room is still pretty cozy. It has high ceilings, tall cathedral windows that bring in a ton of light, and no TV, so when I'm sitting in there I can zone out and relax with a book or magazine! It's a great spot to unwind at the end of a busy day!
