I have a confession to make...I've never been skiing. Now, I've been on a skiing vacation...but I've never actually hit the slopes myself. For me, said vacation consisted of curling up under a cozy throw sipping on a cuppa something delicious in my cabin. I can't say that it was a bad way to spend a few days. Haha!
As fun as vegging in that toasty warm cabin was, I've been inspired to get going on planning a proper ski vacation sooner rather than later thanks to Nicole's post on Copper Mountain. I just love the idea of getting out there in that beautiful white powder and enjoying some real winter fun with my kiddos. And it doesn't hurt that kids' skiwear is so darn adorable! I got to see my lil' dude and lady bean in some last month and their slopes style was too cute for words.
We spent Christmas up in the Blue Ridge Mountains at our family's vacation home this year and one day we took the kids snow tubing. Let me tell, those Florida babies of mine had SO much fun. Well, one of them did...The other one spent a few hours trying to wiggle out of her snow suit. Haha! She may not have dug the marshmallow look, but her mama did and I'll definitely be adding to their skiwear collection for next winter!

The Best Overnight French Toast Recipe
We've hit the winter lull--that lengthy stretch of season with no plans, no parties, nothing to do, and nowhere to go. I have to admit that at first, I welcomed the quiet obligation-free weekends of January. After the nonstop hustle-bustle pace of November and December, my family ...read more
