Love them or hate them - selfies are here to stay. Now there’s a way to put those digital self-portraits to work with #SelflessSelfie!

The new initiative – part of Johnson & Johnson’s latest philanthropic campaign, the Donate a Photo mobile app – allows you to give back to the causes you care about by taking an action that you do every day and turning it into a way to do good.

For every photo you share using the app, Johnson & Johnson will donate $1 to one of its non-profit partners*, which you can choose from a rotating list. Check out the three newest causes:

  • PFLAG: One photo helps protect a child from bullying
  • Girl Up: One photo helps a girl in Liberia go back to school
  • Safe Kids: One photo helps a child in Mexico get to school safely

Donating is simple: Just visit donateaphoto.com to find out how to download the free Donate a Photo app and register to get started, then choose a cause, snap a #SelflessSelfie (or any other subject of your choosing!) and upload your photo. Share it on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram right from the app to show the impact to friends and followers and encourage them to get involved, too. Donate one photo a day, every day to make a difference!
