For the home cook, we are excited to share some of our favorite finds from the year with the Tri-Stone Sharpener from WÜSTHOF. This includes cool features like sharpening stones with three different and precisely engineered grit surfaces for optimum sharpening and honing results. Designed for professional chefs and avid home cooks, the new Tri-Stone Sharpener is available now at retail nationwide for $49.99 suggested retail. We also love their new Classic 9-inch Sushi Knife that can slice all boneless fish, boneless meats, and a myriad of vegetables with precision.
Another staple every home cook will love is the ceramic cookware from The Cookware Company. The company uses a ceramic non-stick coating that is based on sol-gel technology; this is a technology in which materials are formed from small particles suspended in solution that gel together to form a matrix. Thermolon non-stick ceramic coating is manufactured without PFOA and contains no lead or cadmium. The Thermolon coating is healthy, safe and does not contain any toxic chemicals or persistent pollutants. GreenPan has a safety feature – Thermolon coating is heat resistant up to high temperatures. Meaning if you accidentally overheat your pan, even up to 450°C/850°F, no toxic fumes will be released and the coating itself will not blister or peel. Additionally, Thermolon is a better heat conductor than traditional coatings, resulting in superb searing and crispy frying.
Home cooks with love the Heavenly Cake Popsas they use their Easy Roller to roll up to 200 cake pops in just 30 minutes.
Do you know someone who is a budding mixologist, or do they simply love a high-quality cocktail? For that person, we recommend Hood River Distillers, the Northwest's oldest and largest importer, producer and bottler of distilled spirits located in Hood River, Oregon. This includes Pendleton Whisky, Yazi Ginger Vodka, SinFire Cinnamon Whisky, and Broker’s London Dry Gin – all of which will create memorable drinks this holiday season.
Another fun gift to store wine is the new insulated Wine Tote from Sailor Bags. These chic bags can hold two bottles of wine to take aboard, transport home, or carry along to a festive occasion. The tote includes a removable, insulated wine chiller that separates the two bottles and keeps them cool after opening.
To open beer, we love the chic RabLabs Quadrado Bottle Opener from RabLabs.com. Also serving as a spreader, this makes for a perfect host or hostess gift.
