While we love the web, we also love cozying up to a good magazine. They are also great gift ideas that both kids and adults will love. Here are some of our new favorites.

1. Sesame Street Magazine: We are really excited about Sesame Street Magazine, a new venture from the famed educational nonprofit company. The 36-page, bi-monthly magazine will retail starting December 13 in the US and Canada at $4.99 at newsstands and will be available by subscription. This includes a magazine filled with educational material and activities featuring Big Bird, Elmo, Bert and Ernie and the rest of the Sesame Street gang. Designed for kids 2 - 7 years, the magazine is filled with crafts, puzzles, games and challenging activities to develop learning skills.

2. Live Happy: Happiness is a big industry, and not just for the sake of money but people genuinely want to be happy. A great way to be inspired and learn the tools for happiness is in the new magazine, Live Happy. We love the premiere issue that is focused on helping people lead happier, healthier lives. This includes interesting articles that leverages the science of positive psychology to help readers achieve authentic happiness by featuring content that offers timely advice and practical solutions for everyday problems, as it is devoted to helping the reader make his/her life happier. In this issue, I loved the articles “Teaching Kids to Give Back” and “8 Ways to Raise Happy Kids” that discusses ways in which parents can increase the chance of raising happy children by creating a loving, positive and safe environment at home.

3. Ladies Home Journal: Another favorite for beauty, lifestyle and fashion advice is Ladies Home Journal. We love their savvy messaging, on-trend looks, and engaging writing that makes this magazine a treat every month.

4. American Girl Magazine: Little girls will love the new November/December issue of American Girl magazine where they will find fantastic party ideas, stores and crafts. We had the chance to check out the latest issue and my daughter loves how this month is filled with fun ideas like how to make homemade decorations, how to add festive sparkle to a holiday table and delicious recipes including salted carmel and chocolate-covered cherry. Great subscription for kids, we love this age-appropriate and engaging content for girls ages 8 and up.
