Fitness Wear and Gear Roundup

I always try to stay in shape, but I'm particularly motivated to get in some extra workouts in the summertime. Less clothes are worn, layers are scarce and nobody wants to rock shorts unless their stems have been worked out. Am I right? And considering I live in Florida, shorts are a necessity. When the temps are closing in on 100 degrees, you want to feel comfortable in shorts.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm more likely to get all pumped up about exercising if I have something cute to wear. I'm shooting for that time when I'll feel comfortable in just a sports bra and leggings...Until that time, however, you'll usually find me jazzing up my workout ensembles with neon tanks and headbands because the uber bright hues give off an energizing vibe. TJ Maxx and Marshall's have a great, reasonably priced selection.

And the fun doesn't have to stop with fashion. Get some cute workout gear too and I bet you won't have to drag yourself out of bed to work out. Just sayin'. I love being able to pull out a pretty yoga matt and carrying around a cheerful towel specifically made for fitness is so much more chic than throwing a raggedy hand towel into your bag no? Gaiam mats and bags are uber fabulous.

When your workout is complete, try destressing with an accupressure mat like the one from StyleWellness. Long time used for relaxation and healing, accupressure mats claim to further stimulate the production of endorphins. And we all know how great endorphins make us feel after a good workout. Who wouldn't want to keep that feeling going?
