I've been wearing glasses since I was in high school. As much as a bag or a bracelet, my glasses are an essential accessory that I also want to reflect my personality and style. Having worn glasses since high school, I now understand what works for my face and what doesn't. During a recent press event, I was struck by Rivet & Sway and their collection of designer eyeglasses for women. Not only did these glasses look stylish, they also offer a try on program where you can test out the look of three glasses before you purchase. They cover the shipping, and all you have to do is mail them back.
To get started I browsed through their fun website where I saw a collection of glasses categorized by color, face shape, and face width. I checked out the black section, and I loved that it included a fun blurb about wearing black glasses as well as a collection of frames and styles like the Je Ne Sais Quoi, Hungry Heart, Ruby Red, Core Strength, Six Shooter and Character Study (to name a few of the styles).
I loved looking at the frames where this user-friendly and very detailed website provided me with pictures from different angles as well as information about the glasses themselves. I also enjoyed learning more about the frames and lenses that are all thin and lightweight (no matter what your prescription is), scratch-resistant, glare-free, 100% UV Protection and feature no cut corners as well the ability to return them within 60 days. The frames are also made with high quality, precision cut plastic frames that include rich colors and stainless steel rivets that are all $199 - despite what your prescription is.
My favorite feature of the site is access to Ritzy, the Rivet & Sway Personal Stylist who can help you pick your three frames after answering a few simple questions about your face shape, head size, and some questions about your style and color preferences. I then uploaded a photo, and received an email with her choices for me that included the Rizzo frame in Crushed Velvet, the Spitfire frame in Galapagos Green and the Hungry Heart in Classic Tortoise. They arrived in a few days, and I loved the packaging that was whimsical and fun. I was also really excited about the Try-On-Kit since I tend to go with black frames and trying on colorful ones as well as different shapes was new for me. I had a lot of fun testing out the glasses, and see what worked and didn't for my face. I really loved the 'geek chic' Spitfire frame and the Hungry Heart frame that I really appreciated being able to see in person and test out since what you see online does not always translate in person. This is also beneficial since I could take pictures wearing the frames and ask others for their opinions.
I ended up picking the Ruby Red frames in Jet Black. I didn't end up stepping outside of my glasses box, but I also realized that I like what I like and that I appreciated having the options to test out glasses and having a personal stylist on-hand really made this experience so much easier!
While glasses are necessary to see, they can also enhance your face and showcase your personality. The collection of modern and chic frames from Rivet & Sway can meet all of those needs while offering you a personal stylist, the convenience to try them on and a set price no matter what your prescription may be.
