Extension of the “Baby’s First Ride Home” from (and a Giveaway)

As we mentioned a few weeks ago, it is no easy feat to get home from the hospital in NYC. Thankfully,, the site known for its free, overnight delivery of baby care essentials ($49 minimum), is offering an exciting and stress-free way for new parents to get home from the hospital with their "Baby’s First Ride Home" program.

Now extended through January 31, 2015, will provide a year of free diapers (a $599 value) to the first 2015 baby born in New York City along with free rides home (up to $50) to all families that welcome newborns at Manhattan hospitals. The company initially launched the program on December 10th and, after a great response, is extending the program to include the much-celebrated New Year’s babies.

This is a huge service to families since more than three quarters of Manhattan households do not own a car, making it difficult to get home from the hospital, especially during the cold winter months. understands this challenge for moms and wants to be there to assist them right from the very start.

Those interested in the program reach out to the customer care team at 1-800-DIAPERS on their day of discharge to receive a $50 Lyft credit to use towards their baby’s first ride home from the hospital.
