My kids and I had the amazing opportunity of holiday crafting with Todd Oldham at his design studio located in Tribeca. He has teamed up with Target to create a Kid Made Modern, a colorful collection of creativity. The super fun collection contains colorful and printed duck tapes, a huge assortment of crayons in different shapes and modern colors, jewelry kits, ornament kits, and for the ultimate crafter a tool kit with everything they need to create a masterpiece. The kids were able to craft their own works of art while enjoying sweet treats exclusive sold at Target Stores. A favorite in my house, S'mores Goldfish. I was so impressed with what the kids were able to create from beaded necklaces, 3D Christmas trees, and ornaments.

I also had a chance to speak with Mr. Oldham about his collaboration. He says he wanted to take the everyday arts supplies and turn them into something more special. The most important art supply in his collection are the crayons. All of the crayons are made up of multiple colors, so while drawing, the green color will suddenly change to yellow; making for a unique way to craft. I also asked if he has seen any trends in holiday decor this season, and his favorite and a classic are the homemade ones.

Be sure to visit Target and check out this amazing Kid Made Modern Collection, as it will definitely be under my Christmas Tree this year.

The temps might be chilly outside here in NYC, but the temps were quite warm and cozy at the Old Navy showroom for their Spring 2014 preview. Old Navy has an amazing collection coming your way starting in February. Their new Spring collection was completely inspired by nautical prints and colors. The line showed off lots of blues, stripes, brights, and denim. Another trend in the collection were surplus, camo prints, silks, and - denim. And the ultimate best part about the collection was that almost every single piece of clothing is under $40. I am so excited for Old Navy's Spring collection to hit stores next year, there is something for the entire family!

CHALK

I adore kids fashion and the one brand I swoon over every season is ChalkNYC. CHaLKnyc is a premium apparel kidswear brand born and bred in NYC for trailblazing kids around the world, which shows off edgy effortless style, fusing a downtown vibe with luxury clothing rich in detail and refined in construction. CHaLKnyc uses innovative fabrics with many of the pieces limited edition, hand-finished in the Tribeca studio and constructed with integrity so that items could withstand being passed from kid to kid over the years, resulting in a line of impressive yet practical clothing for kids.

The new collection features metallic leather jackets, feather skirts, their signature star tee shirts, and silk peasant blouses. I promise you will want to every piece for yourself. Another must have from the collection are their teeny tiny stud earrings which is a collaboration with Amanda Keidan Fine Jewelry. Designer, Colleen Crivello said she wanted the earring collection to be a mother daughter, mix and match vibe. The new collection will hit stores in February 2014.
