Happy July lovelies! I would say it's probably a good bet that it's fairly hot in your neck of the woods right now. It's also probably safe to say that the heat doesn't slow down those energetic kiddos of yours. I know mine still have energy for days in the summertime. So, when we're thinking about summer style, our focus should be to dress our kids to beat the heat. Along with keeping them hydrated and slathered in sunscreen, it's also important to dress them in cool, comfortable clothing, so they can have safely have fun when it's hot out. I found some darling options at T.J. Maxx and Marshalls!

Swimsuits are obviously a summer must have. Even if you don't have access to a pool or beach, there is plenty of fun that can be had with a small patch of grass and a sprinkler. Sometimes my kids actually prefer sprinkler time to pool or beach time. Plus, there is nothing cuter than little ones running around in their sweet little swimsuits. My lil' lady bean has quite an impressive swimwear collection. I can't help myself. Haha!

If you invest in a few basic pairs of shorts and throw in a print or two, you'll have a good base for their summer wardrobes. Nautical stripes, for instance, will always be a summertime favorite of this girl. Once you have those core bottoms, you can mix and match with various tees and tanks to your heart's content for countless summer looks. I dress my kids in a slew of red, white and blue ensembles all summer long. As I've already mentioned, I dig stripes and plaid looks so great in red, white and blue variations too! Even if you go with a basic navy dress, you can add prints in accessory form. I love a nice striped knot headband. Just sayin'.
