Cool Shades for Summer

One of the essentials that is always with us over summer is sunglasses. Not only about fashionable frames, they also offer us and our kids protection from those harmful UVA and UVB rays. Here are a few of our new favorites for this summer:

Sunglasses for Summer

Sunnies For You:

One of my favorite new sunglass brands is from Hobie Polarized sunglasses. Not only do they have fashionable and sporty glasses, they also filters out that annoying glare - providing increased visual clarity and reduced eyestrain. The glasses also feature colored lenses - allowing your eyes to transmit light and innovative frame technology that feels comfortable and lightweight on your face. On the fashionable front, I love the chic Emma frame and the Manchester frame from the Motion collection and the retro chic Woody from the Heritage line.

Flutter Eyewear has some seriously cool shades while also being functional since the glasses can also be reading glass. Personally, I love the fun colors that offer the modern mom a mix of sophistication, comfort and glamour. Some of my favorites are the Elphaba with their cool Audrey Hepburn style frame and the retro Scout frame.

There is no way you can't smile when you see the frames from Featuring a collection for frames for a whole lot of personality, these chic sunnies are perfect for summer with some of my favorites being the Muse Sunreader and the Bench Mark Sunreader for sunnies that are truly unique.

Glaases for Kids

For the Kids:

For my kids it also all about bright and vivid sunglasses, and Crocs has the perfect combination of style and flare for kids while also offering the ultimate in protection. Some of my favorites are the Crocs™ Sunglasses in Neon and the modern Crocs sunglasses in fun colors like shiny yellow, purple, coral and more. Kids can also add jibbitz (cute charms) to their glasses to add even more flare and personalization to their sunglasses.

Another fun brand for kids is Baby BanZ, a collection that combines total UVA and UVB protection to infant and kids sunglasses. They also have new line for older kids with Junior BanZ, a collection that is aade for boys and girls from ages 4-10. These glassesoffers the same quality lenses and polycarbonate frames as their original Baby BanZ but without the concept of the permanent band around the back of the head. JBanZ come with their own color coordinated neoprene carrying case complete with zipper clasp as well as a removable neoprene strap for active kiddos.
