It’s time to go back to school, but for some students it can be a stressful time of year due to bullying. The harsh words and actions of others affect millions of students each year.

In light of this, LUSH Cosmetics is working to “erase bullying” with an interactive art installation displayed in the windows of select shop locations starting August 31st. The windows showcase the work of Vancouver-based artist, Bryce Evans, and are inspired by a friend’s experience with bullying, bringing to life hurtful words in a larger-than-life format. LUSH is encouraging the public to sign an online pledge to treat others with dignity and respect by way of campaign partner Charter for Compassion.

As part of the campaign, LUSH has launched a limited edition Charity Pot hand and body lotion with 100 percent of the sales going to LUSH’s Charity Pot Fund, to help further the good work of grassroots organizations like Charter For Compassion. Enjoy this decadent hand and body lotion made with fair-trade cocoa butter and fragranced with ylang ylang, geranium and tagettes essential oils—and feel especially good knowing that each dollop does a world of good.

The Charter for Compassion inspires people around the world to live by the Golden Rule. It’s a cooperative effort to restore not only compassionate thinking, but more importantly, to restore compassionate action to the center of religious, moral and political life.
