While I love the routines and structure of our life during the school year, there is also something so wonderful for us and the kids when we step outside of our comfort zone. This summer this has included different camps, local adventures and travel. It has also meant freedom for the kids. Freedom to run around; freedom to explore and the freedom to play.
One of our best experiences this summer was when we embarked on a travel adventure to Maine. It was a wonderful day at the beach with the girls making sandcastles and running around. As they were playing they met another little girl as they collected crabs and jellyfish together. It was so wonderful to see my city girls have such a fun time exploring as they searched for marine life. My three-year-old was eagerly behind her big sister, grasping and collecting rocks, when she climbed on some slippery rocks and fell. Her knees were scrapped and bloody as tears instantly streamed down her face.
As I swopped her up in my arms, I brought her back to our towel to clean her wound of any germs and dirt by using water and then applying the new NEOSPORIN Wound Cleaner, an amazing foam cleaner that works to kill infectious bacteria and germs. This no-sting formula was exactly what she needed as I sealed up her wound with a super cute Hello Kitty Brand Adhesive Bandage.
