We have been covering all of the back-to-school trends (check out our picks for tech trends and food trends) and now we are showcasing our favorite supplies to help your kiddos grow and learn. Here a few of our favorites to keep them on track throughout the year.
1. Style-it-Yourself Notebooks: We love the style-it-yourself concept and for back-to-school this means designing notebooks covers from Fashionit. This includes a new way to add sass and individuality to plain composition books, notebooks and binders. They come in a variety of trendsetting designs and offer accessories, such as flowers and bows, to further personalize the notebook. They also have pockets and pouches specially designed to store everything needed for class and they are durable enough to reuse and they are washable.
2. Pencil Cases: Our favorite case company is Cool Pencil Case and their collection of unique and fun pencil cases, pens, pencils and craft supplies that are rarely found in stores. For kids, we love the Glitter Buckle Purse Pencil Cases, Bow and Laces Pencil Pouch, the Hello Kitty Glamour Pencil Box and the Chic and Stylish Big Zipper Pencil Cases with options for a variety of sizes and styles that every kid will love.
3. ConnectMe Desk and Chair: A big supply that your kids will need is a desk to study and do their homework. Our pick is from the childrens furniture designer Casa Kids has just announced the release of the ConnectMe Desk and Chair. The accompanying chair is equipped with equally simple adjustment mechanisms. The low setting is generally ideal for ages six to ten, and the high from ages ten to adult.
A previous version of the ConnectMe system was released in 2000 and sold at the MoMA store in New York City. The computer desk and chair combination, designed and built in Red Hook, Brooklyn, is here just in time for kids to begin school in the fall. The desktop can easily be adjusted to two positions, the highest setting being appropriate for most adults so that the piece evolves as a child grows. Rear wire holes and a low shelf for placing routers, surge protectors and wiring ensures that clutter is minimal. Two shelves above the desktop allow for plenty of space for storing books and folders, while plenty of clearance remains for a desktop computer. A nook below the desktop is perfect for storing a laptop or other supplies. The creature-like design is available in three color schemes: all-natural Baltic birch; all-natural with gray accents; or all-natural with white accents. It ships flat, is very easy to assemble and is priced from $700.
4. Post-it Brand Mobile Collection: We love the newline of Attach and Go products from Post-it that can help parents and kids stay organized while on-the-go.
With products that stick, insert and clip to everyday items such as notebooks, planners, laptops and beyond, we love how these can help kids and parents in the home and at school. This comprehensive line includes a line of Pockets, Full Adhesive Notes, Flags, Tabs, Notes, Dispensers and Writing Tools in unique new dispensers and product pairings designed to keep those with a mobile lifestyle organized.
