The women in Mary Kay are unbelievably supportive of one another. When Mary Kay Ash began the business, her mission was to enrich women's lives. We have been continuing that tradition for more than 50 years. Not only does my work with Mary Kay help my family, it also helps others. Spiked Apple Cider Pops
September in the South is, in my opinion, still summer. The eighties and nineties always prevail and make the traditional fall flavors that I crave so much slightly out of reach. As much as I want to relax and sip on some hot cider, at the moment, I still need something iced. ...read more

For over 130 years, Avon’s iconic brand has continued to evolve the selling opportunity. Today, its on-trend, innovative product line and social selling tools (including an app) help me and others build successful businesses that reflect how we like to work. For example, flexibility is particularly important for my own work life. I am able to work when and how I want to, and with my kids by my side. It's a family business and that’s how I choose to live the #BeautyBoss life.
My daughters see me work on my business and I grasp opportunities to let them help. Seeing me as a mom and an Avon beauty boss helps them also see themselves as very capable of balancing multiple goals and finding opportunities in their surroundings. They don’t have to take the world as it is; they can create the lives they want.
My day to day with Avon helps me find balance in my life. I check emails and manage my team’s performance in the morning before I bring my daughter to school. While the baby naps, I make phone calls. As I make dinner, I have training webinars and am learning from my team. And after the kids are in bed, I’m posting on social media and working on my blog.
Another factor is financial security, and Avon has given me just that. It has also given me the opportunity to make an impact by helping others one-on-one through mentoring programs. The relationships I continue to cultivate with other Representatives and clients have grown my community beyond what I could’ve imagined. Beyond experiencing the gratification of seeing my team succeed or customers fulfilled with their favorite Avon products, we are also helping women worldwide through breast cancer research efforts and domestic violence prevention programs.

Shaklee: "Shaklee is the #1 Natural Nutrition Company in the country and was founded over 50 years ago. I first found Shaklee after an exhaustive search for non toxic, green cleaning products for my home that actually WORKED. Not only did they work, but they were the most effective products I had ever used. I began incorporating the rest of the Shaklee lines into our lives-healthy weight loss, natural whole food supplements, and natural skin care/personal care products. The results were the end of seasonal allergies, a combined weight loss of over 50 pounds between my husband and I, and an end to the dreaded sickness cycle all moms dread(my 5 1/2 year old daughter hasn't missed a day of school for being sick in two years!)-just to name a few. Every product Shaklee makes is always safe, always green, and always works. I had built a successful career in the fashion industry over the past 20 years, but ever since my daughter was born I was looking to make a change for myself and our family. I wanted to do something that allowed me more freedom and flexibility to be home for her. This was a company I felt good about and more importantly, products I could 100% recommend and stand behind. If i was going to start a home based health and wellness business, or any business, I was going to have to believe in the products. Shaklee was the perfect fit. In addition, our partnership with Shaklee has given us something more than the tangible benefits of better health and more income. There is great inspiration to be found in a company with such integrity and to actually be able to help people make changes in their health and their finances. Shaklee is dedicated to "Creating healthier lives and a healthier planet" and through our Shaklee business, so are we. Our Shaklee business has changed our lives and now my passion is sharing this with other moms and families!" ~ Independent Distributor Vanessa Muskopf

Arbonne: I consider myself lucky. Lucky to own my own Arbonne business. Lucky to wake up every morning and know that I am in charge of what my day looks like. This sense of freedom - financial and time - was not always what I had, but what I thought was my only option as a corporate event planner. This business is not only about personal growth and gratitude, but it is also about giving back and helping others...either through the incomparable business, the best-of-class products, or the charitable foundation Arbonne created. Arbonne is uniquely positioned in the network marketing world, as we are the only company that offers a synergistic approach to wellness - from the inside out, with over 400 health/wellness and personal care products for everyone –from babies, tweens, teens, men and women. Arbonne has a culture unlike any other, one that lifts people up, provides continual support (both personally and professionally), and PAYS YOU BASED ON YOUR EFFORTS AND HOW MANY PEOPLE YOU HELP, with no limit on how much you can make. I live a life of choices. We all recommend things every day – restaurants, movies, clothes, where to shop, shoes, books – so why not get paid to do so? And while you are recommending Arbonne like you would anything else, surround yourself with amazing, like-minded, goal-oriented women and men, who want nothing more than for you to go to the top of the company with them. Grow your bottom line – not some other company’s! Shop from your own store. Create your own future. Be your own boss. Determine your own wealth. ~ Beth Brenner Rose
