April is here and we're welcoming in the new month with one of our favorite new trends - delicious and easy-to-make wine slushies! Your weekend just got a whole lot better.
If you're like me, you have fond childhood memories of slushies. Always syrupy sweet and impossibly cold, the slushies were the perfect way to end a hot day. While the ingredients may have grown up a bit, the concept is just the same. Here's how you can make an adult-worthy wine slushie this weekend.

Keeping your New Year's resolutions
The New Year is off to a fresh start, and many of us are committed to doing something or many things with more intention this year. But it's tough to stay on track. In fact, “Quitters Day”, which falls on January 14th this year, is the day when most people give up. How can you ...read more

- Pour equal amounts of wine and a frozen fruit of your choice into a powerful blender. I'm a big fan of the Blendtec and the Vitamix - I've used both over the years and both of these blenders will truly up your blender game - but any blender powerful enough to make a smoothie should work.
- Blend until smooth, adding more wine if needed for consistency. Or because, you know, it's Saturday.
We opted to get a bit fancy here and make a second slushie flavor to layer them into this Instagram-worthy sipper. I love all the fun you can have with pouring them in layers and mixing them together juuuuust enough to get some fun effects. You can also mix a variety of frozen fruits together to make a kind of fruit salad slushie.
Just make sure to keep this one away from the kids....
Cheers to the weekend!
