Saturday Sips: New Year's Day Bloody Mary


Raise your hand if you're ready to kiss 2016 goodbye! I, for one, am looking forward to 2017 - a new year, a fresh start, a reset. Now onto to our Ski Mama Bloody Mary from one of our favorite ski moms, Kim-Marie from Luxury Travel Mom....



Olives - any kind - try to avoid the ones with pits



Shrimp - get the fully cooked shrimp in the freezer section

Wood skewers used for shish kabobs

Vodka - we like ours spicy like this Absolute Peppar

BloodyMary Mix - even V8 will do in a pinch


More pouring, less measuring! I love this tip from Kim-Marie. "Learn to count a shot like a bartender," says Kim-Marie. "Think waltz timing - and a 1 - 2 - 3 - 4. Two is a half shot, four is a full shot."

  1. Fill glass with ice.
  2. Skewer all your veggies and shrimp.
  3. Pour vodka shot.
  4. Add BloodyMary mix or V8 Juice.
  5. Put skewer in upside down so all the shrimp and olive soak.
