Happy weekend! It's time for our weekly attempt to play bartender and today we're serving up a modified version of the fan favorite Moscow Mule drink. I love me a cold, crisp Mule but sometimes momma needs something a little lighter and that's why we're not talking about the Moscow Mule, but the Mellow Mule instead.
I recently saw this tasty cocktail recipe pop up on my Pinterest homepage and as soon as I saw it I knew I had to give it a go. All of the flavor of a traditional Moscow Mule is there, but it's a bit lighter on the alcohol. Which means you can have two guilt-free. Ha! Here's what you'll need to make your Mellow Mule drink:
- 3 ounces pinot grigio wine
- 3 ounces ginger ale
- 1 lime wedge
- splash of ginger beer
Is a Vizsla a Good Dog for Your Family?
Long before COVID arrived, our family decided we were ready for a dog. I grew up with dogs and knew my girls would gain a lot from the experience of owning a pet. Vizslas are wonderful and gorgeous dogs that require a ton of exercise and lot of time. Like me, you might wonder, ...read more

What to Do After the Epilepsy Diagnosis for Your Child
In the spring of 2020, right in the early panic days of the COVID crisis, my daughter had a seizure. It scared us to the core. We called 911, got an ambulance and essentially that was when we started our epilepsy journey. 18 months later, I've learned a lot and want to help other ...read more
- Fill a glass with ice and then add in the wine and ginger ale. Stir GENTLY to combine.
- Give the glass a generous squeeze of lime.
- Add a splash of ginger beer and garnish with lime wheel.
This is a great margarita alternative too - I can vouch for the fact that it goes quite well with Mexican food. What doesn't really? I know I'm not the only one who could eat Mexican every day of the week right?! But I digress...
So, are you wondering what to do with the rest of that ginger beer you have left over? Try mixing it with lemonade for a shandy or for one of my favorite fall drinks, with whiskey and maple syrup in a Nor'Easter.
Cheers to you!
