Oscar-Worthy Cocktails
La La Landor Lion? Fences or Hidden Figures? Whatever movie you loved from 2016, we're mixing a few Oscar-worthy cocktails that can help you celebrate your favorite flick's big win at the Academy Awards tomorrow night. Since award shows notoriously run long, we'll be serving up some lighter cocktails that won't leave you feeling sick and sugar-laden. And the Oscar goes too.....
...YOU! If you make these lightened up cocktails featuring Cascade Ice as mixers. These flavored sparkling waters have zero calories and zero sugar (zip! zilch! nada!). They also don't have sodium, gluten or caffeine. Instead, they are naturally flavored with 1% fruit juice in flavors like Coconut Mango, Huckleberry Blackberry, Cherry Limeade, Pink Grapefruit and over a dozen other combinations.
I love that they are lightly carbonated and have just enough flavor to make them a great soda alternative on their own, but enough flavor to make them work as no calories/no sugar cocktail mixers too. Here are three Oscar-worthy cocktails to serve up tomorrow night.
If you loved Emma and Ryan: The La La Lemon-berry Drop
I'm going to be honest...I didn't love this movie. I like musicals in general and um, it had Ryan Gosling in it (!), but I just couldn't get on board with this fan favorite. This drink however? A definitely win! To make the La La Lemon-berry Drop, start with 3 muddled raspberries at the bottom of a cocktail shaker. Add a handful of ice, 1 oz of vodka and 4 oz of Cascade Ice Lemonade. Swirl the mixture around and strain into a sugar-rimmed glass. Garnish with a lemon slice or a couple raspberries if desired!

If you liked Hidden Figures: The Mathematicians Moonshine
I haven't seen this one yet, but it's definitely on my list. In honor of these three kick-butt, math genius ladies, mix up a bourbon berry Mathematician Moonshine. Start with 3 muddled blackberries in a cocktail shaker. Add ice and then combine 1 oz of your favorite bourbon, 6 oz of Huckleberry Blackberry Cascade Ice into the shaker. Squeeze one lemon slice into the mixture and then give it a nice stir. Strain the blackberry goodness into a sugar-rimmed glass. Garnish with blackberries and a mint leaf and enjoy!
If you liked Lion: The Saroo Strawberry Limoncello Spritzer
I loved this movie! An incredible tale of a young orphaned Indian boy who is adopted then eventually goes on a quest to find out where he is from - and it was all based on a true story. Be sure to stay through the credits to see some additional footage that you won't want to miss. You also won't want to miss this easy-to-make spritzer. Mix 6 oz. of Cascade Ice Strawberry Lemonade with 2-3 oz. of limoncello and a touch of honey. Stir to combine and add ice. Garnish with strawberry slices.
