Graco MyRide 65

It's travel month here at Momtrends. We got things rolling a little early with a trip to Nantucket. Just before the trip I installed a new car seat from Graco. The new seat is called the My Ride 65 ($149.99). All in we traveled more than 500 miles in total and we give the seat a big thumbs up.

First of all I did my research. The seat is forward and rear facing and has the capacity to face rear until baby weigh 40 pounds (then it coverts to a front facing seat that will hold up to 65 pounds). This seat has all the features a concerned parent seeks: 5-pt. harness, LATCH, EPS foam, side impact testing, etc. And I loved the handy installation level. If the ball is in the green zone you know you've got the seat level.

Beyond safety, I was sold on the extras. For newborns, the seat comes with a cozy insert. This bit of padding slips in and out of the seat facilitating a snug ride for baby easy clean up for mom and dad. My one dislike-it's really wide. If you took off one cup holder (why does a kid need two?) you could shave a couple inches off the 21" seat-hogging device. Look for MyRide65 soon at Babies '??R'? Us and Wal-Mart. Momtrends was given this seat for testing purposes only. Graco did not pay for this review.
