Five Minute Margarita
I'm not afraid to admit that I'm totally over Summer. We have a great relationship for about two weeks and then I'm ready to break up and move on to Fall. To get me through the sweltering heat, I resort to refreshing (and easy) cocktails like this 5 Minute Margarita. It's the simplest way for me to keep the heat at bay while I'm pining away for cooler temperatures.
Here's what you need:
- Blender
- Bud-Light Beer Rita (there's flavors like Mango, Watermelon, Strawberry, and Lime)
- Ice
- Fresh Fruit
Blend the ice, the Beer Rita, and fresh fruit of your choosing all together until it turns into a slush. You don't want it to be too watery. The fruit also helps keep it a little thicker while adding in some natural flavor.

Of course, presentation is everything. What every delicious margarita really needs is a cute straw. I found these flamingo poof straws in the dollar bin at Michaels. But any fun straw will do!
The last piece to this puzzle is Summer scents. Living in the city doesn't always provide the freshest of smells (hot, pungent garbage, anyone?). Even though my margarita gives off a sweetness, this Watermelon Plush is even more fragrant. He's a cuddly little guy that also makes for a fun decoration. There's an array of other fruits and treats and they even come in *mystery form*---perfect for lunch bags and backpacks in time to get ready to head back to school.
