Toothpaste Testing

Image placeholder title

A few months ago Crest and Scope sent me some new dental care products to test. It was not until this past weekend that I found the right reason to discuss these products. Here's the thing: We were stranded with only kiddie toothpaste. Tom's of Maine Silly Strawberry to be exact. Which if you haven't sampled, is like brushing your teeth with a cupcake. Gag.

Now I'm sure Tom is a nice guy and that his kids love him, but this toothpaste is not meant to tackle the results of a garlic roasted chicken. Thankfully Mr. Momtrends and I were in the same mint-free boat all weekend. When we got home, we both raced to get our hands on the new Crest Extra White Plus Scope Outlast toothpaste. It is everything a grown-up toothpaste should be--minty, refreshing and it does battle the red wine we drink on occasion. Then we rinsed with Scope Outlast Long Lasting Peppermint Rinse. And life was good again.

I wish I could report that everything the PR company sent was a hit. Sadly the Oral-B Advantage Floss Picks Plus Scope were annoying. Sure they were soaked in mint but the little devils kept snapping (the floss that is) in my mouth. Plus, I think all that plastic packaging is a tad wasteful. I'll stick to my Glide Floss. And be sure of this...I will never leave home without my Crest again. Repeat after me, "Cupcakes are for birthdays, not for brushing teeth."

Momtrends was not paid for this review. Products received were for testing purposes only.
