Green Toys: Twist Sorter from Plan Toys

I discovered Plan Toys this past Christmas when my four year old daughter received a dollhouse and we filled it with the Plan Toys kitchen accessories and furniture. So I was eager to test the Twist Sorter before it hits the shelves this spring.

The 4 shapes (square, circle, rectangle and triangle) have connecting partners which can be twisted to create a solid or a dual-colored shape. With this unique design children not only learn shapes and colors, but more importantly how things work.

I gave the Twist Sorter to my 4 year old daughter, without any instruction, and she immediately began twisting the shapes and placing them in the correct space on the template. After a few minutes, I showed her how the template turned and the shapes twisted to match both the template'??s shape and the color.
