Being green means many things. I admire companies that were thinking globally and acting responsibly long before it became trendy. BlaBla is one of those brands. Since the start in 2001, BlaBla has used natural fibers and eco-friendly practices. And they are mom-friendly they've hired 200 knitters in Peru who are getting a leg up in the world thanks to holding a well-paying job. And they are the first Green handmade toy company to receive theOppenheim Toy Portfolio Gold Seal Award 2009.

Get the picture? But the best part is the toys and clothes are beyond adorable (be-dorable...if you saw Bolt you get this joke). Every night my older girl snuggles with her handknit mermaid. "Hazel" is a gorgeous colorful friend. We've given away the sweet rattles and dolls and now I need to rave about the line of t-shirts. The spring line is truly inspired. In addition to the rocking guitar tee ($24) above, I am smitten with the Schoolbook Tees. H is for Hug ($24; 6mos to 6yrs). They capture all the sweetness of babyhood and are soft as a whisper. Love them!
