I'm certainly all for anything that will help my family's day to day run routine more smoothly. And, thankfully, we already have several top organization ideas in the Momtrends archives!

tidying up

The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up...This book made major waves last year and I'm willing to bet that the revolution isn't over. It's time to get rid of all that STUFF that's just cluttering up your life and not enhancing it! A fabulous place to start is your closet. I know I, for one, have definitely been hanging on to things that will never grace my bod again. And for what reason? It's time to just let go!

Messaging Center...Another way to cut down on clutter is to get it off your desk and up on your wall. WallPops' oh so pretty dry erase boards and calendars can be used to create a chic messaging center that will help keep your family organized. Everyonw will will know to look to the wall for the schedule which is so much easier than sifting through things on the desk or kitchen counter.

Pantry Organization...Meal time doesn't have to be stressful. If you have a nice, organized pantry, you'll save precious time when preparing those all too important week day breakfast and dinners for your family. The last thing you need to be doing when you're worried about getting the kids out the door for school or finishing up so you can get going on homework is scrambling to find something to make them to eat.

Go Paperless...If you're super serious about decluttering, get rid of those paper files and go digital. We shared some of our top tips for going paperless and one of my favorites is to make use of Excel spreadsheets. If you aren't familiar with Excel, it can be a bit daunting, but once you get the hang of it, you'll be amazed at how much those handy dandy spreadsheets can help you get organized!

Menu Plan...The first step to streamlining your kitchen space is making sure everything has a clearly defined home, i.e. organize that pantry. Next, work on your weekly menu plan. Planning out meals before the week hits you all fast and furious like will seriously cut down on your stress level. Trust me. Even if you just have a few quick and easy meals that you can to in a pinch, it will help!
