Do you dare to post a picture with no makeup on?I just got back from two weeks in Europe and spent a low-key weekend with the family trying to shake the jet lag. Before these pictures I did a big exfoliation session to get the plane funk, sun screen and sweat that had embedded in my pores OFF my face. So the last thing I wanted to do was add makeup. I planned to stay home!
Then we decided to go to the Fireman's Fair in NW CT. This is where I've spent most of the summer as our NYC apartment has been renovated. Country life has been grand and VERY, VERY casual. This is a standard outfit. And everyone up here has no idea that I blog about fashion--though they do think I own a lot of shoes for a country gal.
The super-casual outfit was whipped together to keep me warm on the rides and comfortable chasing the kids around. I tossed on my favorite BF jeans from Lauren Conrad for Kohl's and a new layer sweatshirt from Aerie (I got it a few weeks ago at the holiday preview). Very simple--because no one ever dresses up out here. In fact, I got a few stares at the fair--I think it was because I was fancier than most!
Now on to the accessories--because even at my most undressed, I still like to have some flair. The wedge Fitness sneakersare from Aerosoles ($99). And if you want to try the trend before it's over, this is a great find.
Finally the cat watch is a gift from Charming Charlie--so cute, and I also am showing the friendship bracelet my 8 year old made me in Sicily last week. It's pretty special.
Do you ever post pictures with no makeup on? I hope youll share what youve been wearing on Monday Mingle. Monday Mingle is a fashionable collaboration between me, Jill from Glamamom and Kristin from BonBonRoseGirls. Each week we post about our personal style and then invite our friends to join in the fun.
Momtrends was not paid for this post. As always, we get a lot of free clothing to style. But no one paid me to put any of this together.
