Yes. Leather is for the summer too. This fashion staple used to be restricted to fall and winter and dark colors. No more. Thanks to synthetic fashions (like the one shown) and bright colors, leather is H.O.T. for summer.
I picked this top up on a trip to Century 21 (a discount store in NYC with many great labels) for $49.99. I paired it with some Ralph Lauren Blue Label jeans (5 years old--thank you TIDE or keeping them white) for bold look for summer. The top is a synthetic fabric that looks like leather. The peplum shape feels so fun for summer and it is perfect with trim white pants.
As for the rest of the look...do you even notice anything else? Since the top is sooo very splashy, I added a simple white bag from Avon--the woven Butler Bag ($19.99) to not detract from the top.
The most expensive item in this outfit is the heel. I splurged. These wedges are from DVF and I adore them. I spent close to $200 at the beginning of the season at a small Brookln Boutique called Tango. It was money well spent. I wear the Opal Wedge non-stop. From dresses to denim, these shoes are key. And I can actually walk in them. Bonus. You can find a similar pair here on Amazon
A few more details. The bracelets are from Stella & Dot. You can click here to find out more about the Stella & Dot Eleanor Bangle.

Momtrends was not paid for this post. As always, we get a lot of free clothing to style. But no one paid me to put any of this together.
