Casual Glam for Thanksgiving
As we gear up for the holiday season, it's time to add some shine. I was recently able to pick up a new outfit from NYDJ's latest collection for this holiday-inspired look. I wanted something that would be chic and comfortable for Thanksgiving (which I am hosting). But of course, I wanted the outfit to be stylish too, so I put together this casual glam look for Thanksgiving.

What I picked was a sweater and denim combo. The sweater is from the NYDJ Holiday Collection it's an open-stitch metallic sweater made form Lurex ($98). The pants are also NYDJ a Spanish Moss Darleen Cargo Legging ($120)--note you might need to size up. I did in these. I love the trim fit and the color is a nice break from everyday denim--it's a bit fancier for the holiday.
I went for a basic, rugged denim plus a bit of shimmer on top. I didn't realize NYDJ made such lovely sweaters. This one is sheer enough for night, yet with a less dressy pant, can be worn during the day.
All it took was digging out these suede booties from Sofft (get a similar pair here) and putting on the right accessories and boom! Thanksgiving is done (now I need to buy a turkey).

Now let's talk jewelry. The necklace ($25), earrings ($15) and ring ($10) are from Avon from the Paula Abdul FOREVER collection. And speaking of AVON the nails are Brushed Metals--a new collection from the nail line. It's awesome. Really textured and edgy.
The bracelets are from Stormy at http://leatherwrapsbracelets.com and yes, I'm obsessed with them and yes again, I'm sharing the wealth! The linky winner this week will be winning a set in mint!
