Mom Boss New York City Book Launch
Momtrends is, always has been and always will be dedicated to solving problems for women, namely moms. Nicole Feliciano's Mom Boss is no different. Part motivational tool, part instruction manual, this book is just what moms filled with entrepreneurial spirit that they don't quite know what to do with need. Who among us hasn't wondered how to reconcile going after her dreams with being the present parent she wants to be? If the incredible turn out that we had at the Mom Boss New York City book launch is any indication of just how many potential mom bosses are out there, I think it's safe to say that there are some amazing business ideas being born right now.
Major highlights in the Mom Boss book include informational interviews that Nicole conducted with a slew of successful mompreneurs. She not only provides potential business owners with a step by step process for how they can get their business idea off the ground, but she also gives them real life inspiration in the form of relatable success stories. We took that same real life experience spirit to our launch with our Mom Boss expert panel at the book launch:

Gear to Help You Stay Warm on the Coldest Ski Days
I’ve looked at the weather forecast here in Vermont and it's time to bundle up! As a skier, cold weather goes hand in hand with the snow and sport I love, but that doesn't mean I'm impervious to frostbite. Over the years, I've tried and tested many products to see what works to ...read more
Attendees had the rare opportunity to pick the brains of mom bosses who have proven that they know how to get it done! We heard about everything from what motivates them to continue to grow and innovate in their fields to how they balance that drive with their home life. At the end of the day that's what's most important. Showing moms that they don't have to choose between a career and motherhood. They can carve out their own path that includes both!
Now it wasn't all straight laced business talk at our book launch, the panelists were also asked about how they tackle the messiness of motherhood...Robyn, for instance, had a hysterical story about how, as a new step-mom, she didn't quite police the Halloween candy consumption situation as she should have when taking her daughter out trick or treating. Needless to say that tummies were upset and you can bet Clorox was brought in for the cleanup! Haha! This mom can certainly relate. The Clorox® Disinfecting Wipes andClorox 2® Pre-Treat Stain Remover Pen are never far from my side. I have no issues with the messes that come along with being a mom, as long as I have the tools I need to clean them up tout de suite! If there's a mess, it means a life has been well-lived...and isn't that what all us moms want in the end?
I think that's the message that Nicole was trying to convey with Mom Boss. You're going to have to put in the work...and it's probably going to be messy at times. It certainly isn't going to be easy, but thanks to Mom Boss you'll have the inspiration you need to tackle that to do list, and the tools you'll need to achieve your mom boss dreams.
"To implement change you've got to work. Mom Bosses aren't just big talkers. They are big DOERS." ~ Nicole Feliciano
Thanks to The Bump and LaCroix, the big doers at our book launch were able to enjoy a spectacular evening in a beautiful space complete with delicious sips and bites. Now if that isn't an ideal way to learn, I don't know what is!
