I'm excited to start a new series of posts on Mondays. They will be called Mommy Time Monday. I don't know about you, but after a long weekend of keeping the kids busy, chores and social obligations, I always try to carve out some "Mommy Time" on Mondays. Time without the kids to do something just for me. Each week I'll try to share an idea on how to use your Mommy Time wisely.
Your mission, if you chose to accept it, is to link up with an alone-time activity from the past week. Maybe it was a crafting project, a dinner out with the girls or a gardening success. All you need to do is come here an link up on Monday's with your post. Keep in mind, it didn't have to happen on a Monday--maybe Friday is your "me" time. This idea is to generate a gathering place to get inspired.
Today I got out my scooter and rode to the dentist. Do I get looks on my scooter? You bet, but it sure beats walking. I totally understand why kids are addicted to these toys. They are easy to master and F-U-N. As I zipped home after my teeth cleaning, I had the wind in my face and felt all of 15. It pure, clean joy and I didn't feel like a mom at all.
