Don't boo me, but Ima kinda ready for fall. I know, I know. I'm all set with summer. I'm ready to cuddle up with a good pumpkin pie in front of a burning fire (not something you can do in an unforgiving bathing suit). I miss the cozy cuddles that are the last thing you want to do when it's 97 degrees out. I want an actual warm blanket not air that feels like a warm blanket.
There are other a few other reasons. I bought an amazing vintage winter white coat and mini dress ensemble I want to take for a spin with some tall fall boots. And my husband looks so cute when he's raking leaves in our backyard with an Irish cable sweater on.
Yankee Candle's New Fall Fragrance Preview
Which is why when I got Yankee Candle's newest fall scent Apple Pumpkin, I almost started decorating the house in paper fall leaf cut-outs from A.C. Moore Crafts. And, in true Yankee Candle form, our entire room was enveloped in this inviting and seasonal scent. So much so that hubs came in and asked if I took the kid apple picking that afternoon. I crushed him when I explained how it wasn't apple picking season yet and I in fact was not making homemade applesauce.

This amazing candle scent of home-grown apples and pumpkins blended with ginger and clove (those two spices are what fall is all about, IMO) is part of their new fall 2012 fragrance line. Think crisp, breezy days, local harvest time, hanging with friends - all those treasured moments of autumn.
There are four new scents. Another favorite is Treehouse Memories. Its warm earthy woods are wrapped up in sweet spices that remind me of walking down a path as the changing leaves fall. *sigh* Their new Harvest Welcome is a combo of farm-fresh pumpkins spiced with just the right amount of brisk autumn air, and Season's Blessings is a fruity bounty of pear, plums and grape with hints of spice and cardamom.
So go ahead and enjoy the rest of your summer. Have fun at the beach, applying sandy sunscreen. I'll be sitting here, falling in love with fall all over again.
The new fall fragrances are available at Yankee Candle stores and on yankeecandle.com in multiple sizes and forms from $1.99 to $27.99.
